7 OBSESSIONS

When I was filling in the title of this blogpost, I accidentally wrote down obesions. Which made me think of the fact that if I keep eating like I do now, I'll be obese within a few weeks. Ooooops. I might just need to reconsider those upcoming muffins. JUST KIDDING. I WON'T. I love me some sugar. But oh well, that's not really what I wanted to talk about today. Sorry, I kind of got distracted by my own typo. What I do want to talk about are my current obsessions. There are quite some things I'm completely in love with at the moment, so I kind of had to make some hard decisions.. It was a tough job, but I made it through and today I'm sharing 7 things I'm obsessed with, with you!

1. Stolen Dance by Milky Chance. In about three weeks I haven't had one single day without listening to this song. I didn't even like it that much at first though. I'm not really into pop/top40 music, this song is an exception I guess - along with some other recent, well known songs I actually quite like (guilty)..... What's happening to me?! Not that I'm ashamed or anything. I don't care what others think about my music taste, 'cause it's my musictaste, and taste is based upon opinion. And every opinion is personal. If you don't like my music, well then that's your opinion, and that's okay.

2. The Fault In Our Stars. This certainly isn't the first time I'm talking about this book. I am aware of my obsession (you might want to call it an addiction). That's why I had to fit it in this post somewhere. I've read it a couple of times already and I am absolutely eager to see the movie which is being released june 6. Father time, please, hurry up!

3. Pan cooked oatmeal. "Um, Laura...... oatmeal? We know you like oatmeal, but that's not really something new...?" Well actually, it is! If you would've read a bit better you'd have seen it says 'Pan cooked oatmeal' and that my friends, is something entirely different to my usual oatmeal. I used to prepare my oatmeal in the micowave oven, but about a week ago I was in the mood for something else. So I poured some milk in a saucepan (or whatever you English people call a little pan with one handle that sticks out like a.... a stick I guess?) and added some oats. When the mixture had the right texture I added a tiny splash of agave syrup and poured everything into my favorite bowl. The oatmeal was looking quite normal, so I didn't expect that much of a change. But then, when I took my first bite... BOOM FLAVOUR AND TEXTURE EXPLOSION! I kind of liked it so much I had it for breakfast every single day from that day on. Oops.

4. Urban Outfitters. I don't think I've mentioned my love for this shop before, but now I have. And I'm aware that almost everyone knows and kind of likes Urban Outfitters, but I don't kindoflike them, I looooooooooooooooove them, and every single item in their store (they even do To-Go smoothie jars?!??!?!).

Is anyone out there rich or something? And maybe willing to donate the tiniest amount of money (ten thousans something ish??? (:)? (: (: (:

5. Jeff Wall. In the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam there's this exhibition from this photographer I really seem to like. I went there a few days ago and I immediately fell in love with his work. I'm going back a.s.a.p. because I'd like to see his photography again. If you live in/near Amsterdam you should really consider visiting the museum, especially if you're a photography geek like me.

6. Prison Break. I might not look like someone who likes to watch rough guys trying to break out of prison, and I actually didn't really expect that from myself either. But I do. Prison Break is this series about a guy who wants to get locked up in prison to rescue his brother who is in there too. He's not just a normal guy though: he's extremely smart and has prepared this brilliant plan to escape. So he gets locked up and works his way out again, wanting to take his brother with him. WARNING: ONCE STARTED ONE CAN NOT JUST STOP WATCHING.

7. Polaroid cameras. So I know I'm not the first one to be obsessed with polaroid camera's, but that doesn't change the fact that I am. Soon one of those babies will be mine. It's a pity that the printing paper which is used for these cameras is so expensive...

I hope you've enjoyed my little monologue about all these little things that keep my mind busy (along with loads of other things, because my mind's a bitch who doesn't want to shut up).

About what are you obsessing (in a positive way) right now?

Love,
Laura
